Every piece is uniquely hand made with vintage laces, linens and re-purposed vintage/embroidered linens. Although most pieces are made for girls, there are many boy pieces that are made from recycled/re-purposed fabrics and 100% Flax Linen.

Moccasins are made by hand, as a team effort by my husband and myself.
Side Seam moccasins are a traditional pattern from the North West/ Plateau Native American Indian Tribes. These are the traditional winter boots made of leather and are lined with soft virgin wool. Pictured moccasins are lined in rabbit fur for an additional cost.

Gypsy recycled, 100% wool blankets cover the outside of these winter mittens. They are lined with a dark grey fleece and hand stitched across the outside and around the bottom. Both gloves are attached by a wool/yarn rope that goes up the sleeve of the child's jacket, around the back and down the other sleeve. This will give a little more insurance the gloves don't go missing their mates.

The front is embellished with an Adirondack Hemlock branch. Hand Embroidered, fits ages 4-9 years old.

Bamboo textile is one of those subjects that seems to be in controversy. That is why I have spent countless hours researching the textiles used in all of my garments. I have hand selected all textiles, including all organic products. 
Poverty.Jane bamboo has zero chemicals in the product. No chemicals are used to make the textile which eliminates the word "viscose" from my vocabulary. This is a real bamboo textile.

There are many different styles of baby shoes that range in many different age groups. Baby shoes are so much fun to make and so much fun to wear on baby!
All shoes are adorned in vintage table clothes that have been delicately dated back to an age where embroidered linens were treasured and loved. I even use the pieces of linen that have been so lovingly repaired. There's a bit of history, as my grandmother would say, in linen repairs. 

All Hemp products are *Tested and certified compliant for Lead content* I have cert# for organic hemp and organic cotton on my textiles and ISO # that the factory the Hemp is manufactured is eco friendly.

I use quality, top of the line products to create the articles sold in my shop. Gutterman threads, premium quality elastics, and certified organic, with certification # for both organic bamboo, cotton and hemp. My polyresin snaps are CPSIA certified for lead products. I use Viscose organic bamboo products cut with organic cotton. My bamboo fleece and velor materials only contain less than 2% synthetic materials. The manufacturer of my bamboo textiles has a ISO number which complies under strict regulations to be eco friendly and all my bamboo products are Tanboocel bamboo fiber also has passed OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 3 years in a row, and are deemed safe for baby.


I have disputes about products, specifically diapers, that use PUL (polyurethane laminate). Not only are PULs the product of a petrochemical and not to mention non renewable, they contain a chemical compound known as Isocyanates (-NCO).
Isocyanates(-NCO,) has been scientifically researched by the United State Department of Labor, stating that health effects from polyurethane products include "irritation of skin and mucous membranes, chest tightness, difficult breathing...compounds classified as potential human carcinogens and known to cause caner in animals. The main effect are occupational asthma and other lung problems, as well as irritation of the eyes, nose, throat and skin." Not to mention other disputes about PUL covers and disposable diapers locking in high temperatures within a babies diaper, resulting in reproductive damage. And countless other chemicals that are found in disposables that are harmful to babies. This is why I am determined to make a product that is effective and most importantly, SAFE for our little babies.

**Little known fact: In the USA it is illegal to put human feces in the municipal garbage system. That's right, if you put a poop-filled disposable diaper in your trash, you are breaking the law! Who knew this? And guess what, it says that right on the diaper packaging.
